NowPlaying Relay - Frequently Asked Questions
Apple Music Access
- The app says Apple Music access is denied. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music and enable access for NowPlaying Relay.
- Music won't play. NowPlaying Relay requires an active Apple Music subscription. Verify your subscription status in the Music app or Settings.
Webhook Relay
- Webhooks aren't firing. Make sure the relay is enabled in Settings, your endpoint URL is correct and reachable, and check the Activity tab for delivery status.
- What data does the relay send? The relay sends real-time playback data (track name, artist, album, playback state) to your configured webhook endpoints. You control which events are sent via per-endpoint event filtering.
General
- How do I sync settings across devices? Webhook configuration syncs automatically via iCloud when you're signed in with the same Apple ID.
- Is my data shared with third parties? No. NowPlaying Relay does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Webhook payloads are sent only to endpoints you configure. See our Privacy Policy for details.
